Frugal Friday - Survey's

I love the ability to earn money at home while I watch Little Might and I am very excited to say that I have found a new way to do so.

Online Survey's!

I was skeptical at first, and was concerned about the legitimacy of the sites, and wanted to find ones that were repeatable. I used the experience of Money Saving Mom, a great blog that I enjoy reading and referring back to every now and again. In this posting she talks about her experience and many of her readers have commented on there experience as well. So after doing my research I took the plunge and signed up at three different sites. I am enthused to say that I have already earned $30 in just the last two weeks alone. I have been using the following three sites:

Opinion Outpost: This is by far my favorite site, I have received more invitations using this site than any other. The pay is $1-$5 per survey. Payout can occur at only $5, via an amazon gift card or $20 for a check. It is FREE to sign-up.

Synovate: This is one the most highly recommended survey companies out there, and is famous for having people try full size samples of products, including diapers. So I decided to give it a try. Payout can occur again at only $5 so again you can receive money in no time. It is FREE to sign-up.

Mommytalk Surveys: This survey site is not recommended on the Money Saving Mom, Blog but is discussed on Coupons and Freebies Mom. I decided to join this survey company because it is focused at moms. One nice plus is that they give you $5 for simply signing up. Payout occurs and $25 so it does take a bit to see any money.

A few things to remember about survey's, you will not get rich quick. It will add to your weekly, monthly income though, which is always a nice bonus. Good Luck, and I hope you decide to join a few sites, and enjoy and continue to be FRUGAL.

Blessings,
Joy

A few hours away!

Mr. T surprised me tonight by getting home at about 4:30, that is early! It was such a nice surprise and I knew that I should take advantage of it, so I went out. :-) I have come to the conclusion that I do need time away every now and again. So that is what I am currently doing.

I realize that for some people enjoying a cup of coffee at Caribou is simply not that big of a deal but for me, it is a break, a two hour vacation away, by myself, did I say by myself. Being a SAHM is a wonderful gift, but, I realize continuously that I need a break sometimes. I only have one child, may God Bless the moms that have more.

I am hoping though that the next two hours, give or take, will be productive, finishing a few posts, getting caught up on email, and writing a few lesson plans.

The outing has already been productive, I made a stop at Old Navy on the way to the coffee shop, and found a great sweater and long-sleeve shirt. Both on sale and under $20, for both. Not frugal at its best, but not to bad. I am thinking that the outing should include a stop at adoration, for some time with Jesus, that will be the perfect way to end my time away.

Here is to getting away and rejuvenating ourselves, and on this feast of the Archangels, St. Michael, St. Raphael, and St. Gabriel, Pray for Us!

Fall is in the Air!

The smell of baked apple pie, the sound of the leaves as they crunch beneath your feat, and the  pride of wearing your green and gold on a Sunday afternoon ~ these are a few of my favorite things.

Yep, you guessed it I am a Packer Fan. I will admit that I have always cheered for the Packers, it was really 4 years ago though when they made it to the finals that I got on the band wagon, then usually it has took me half of the season before I get into it again. Well, to the complete disbelief of my husband, not this year. I have watched or listened to, at least followed every game so far, and yes it has been a great year so far. Go Pack Go!

The most exciting thing is that, yes they are doing GREAT it has been a wonderful season, they have not lost a game yet. The second exciting thing is that Little Might is a Packer fan, well, he has to be right, he has the Packer socks and the Packer sweatshirt to prove it.

Mr. T is far from a Packer fan, he usually cheers for the team that is playing against the Packers, so basically he goes by the football philosophy of anyone but the Packers. It definitely makes for a few interesting game days in our house.

Till tomorrow, Go Pack Go!

Manic Monday

Greetings and I hope you are each having a GREAT Monday!

Yes, believe it or not, I am actually getting my Manic Monday post up on Monday! :-)

Menu for the Week

Monday: It will actually be left-over night as I am teaching tonight! Which actually the left-overs are pretty good, they are from the Roast in the crock-pot last week.

Tuesday: Hamburger Rice Hotdish

Wednesday: Tuna Melts and French Fries

Thursday: Leftover Hotdish

Friday: Thanksgiving in September - I have a Turkey sitting in the freezer that I desperately want to get cleared out to make more room. So we will be hosting a few friends for dinner, and will be having our very own little Thanksgiving Dinner.

New this Week:
I am going to begin to add my To-Do-List for the week. My hope is that this will be something that I continue to include and elaborate upon each week. This will for starters just include a few of the things that I want to accomplish/start on for the week. My goal eventually is to break this down to various areas of my life.

1. Make a schedule for the week, what I am going to work on each day - Life is getting busier in a good way but I want to stay on top of things, and I do not want to have another day like last Monday, where I had to much to do because I did not schedule things/even things out throughout the week.
2. Read one book to Little Might everyday. I need to become better at this.

3. Decide on one book that I am going to begin reading and take time to read it everyday. I love to read, but I have realized that I am not taking time each day to read like I should.

4. Create lesson plans for next week, I would like to get a few weeks ahead.

5. Finish the My Publisher Photo-book.

I think five will do it for this week. Now we will see how I do, and I will give up-dates next Monday if not sooner.

Frugal Friday - Picture Albums

It's Friday!

Can I just tell you how happy I am that its the end of the week and that we are in town for the weekend, except for a trip out to my in-laws for Saturday night, for my SIL's birthday party. I just feel as if we are all tired and need a bit of a reprieve from everything. Between Little Might and his teething, me and my allergies, and Mr. T's very very long days as at work. It will be nice to have a break. We starting this weekend off in the perfect way, Little Might is already sound asleep for the moment, and Mr. T and I are enjoying Chinese take-out and a few movies from the Red Box. Here is to a great weekend.

I have already started working on Christmas presents/projects. One of things that I have started is working on photo albums. I have started using a brand new site/application, called My Publisher. Use this link and enter email address and receive your $20 Gift Card, for first time users and for a limited time only. With the $20 Gift Card you can receive the Mini Hardcover Book for FREE! That's right for FREE! Head on over to MyPublisher and start creating your own book filled with memories. Good Luck and Enjoy!

One Molar down, one more to go!

Little Might has a molar!

I still feel so bad for him though the molar is so big compared to other teeth, that I can only imagine how bad it hurts.

Luckily though we still do not have a fever, so we will praise God for that. We have simply had swollen cheeks, along with a rash around his mouth, and diaper rash. Little Might's ears are starting to look a bit red, so I am keeping an eye on other signs of an ear ache.

I will say though that I have learned a few more tricks of the trade in helping him deal with teething.

The newest one is a large piece of celery, or carrot, or slice of cucumber. I make the slices very big so he can not fit it all in him mouth, hence no choking hazard, and than he just chews on it. Eventually he chews the piece so much that we need to toss it before it becomes a choking hazard. If you decide to try this, as always, stay with your toddler as he is chewing on it.

I have still been using infant Tylenol, and teething gel, along with lots and lots of cuddling.

A few of you indicated that your children were teething as well, Good Luck! Please pass on any good tips that you may have. I love reading comments from my readers, and I am trying to learn how to respond, so please be patient as I still try to figure out different aspect of the "blog world".

Joy
