Sabbath Sense Saturday on Sunday!

Greetings and Welcome:
Sabbath Sense Saturday is coming out a day late, but, hopefully this brief reflection on today's Gospel reading will add to your Sunday and start our week off on the right foot, so to speak.
“A sower went out to sow.
And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path,
and birds came and ate it up.
Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil.
It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep,
and when the sun rose it was scorched,
and it withered for lack of roots.
Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it.
But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit,
a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.
Whoever has ears ought to hear.”

I have done some reflection on this bible passage in the past, specifically through Lectio Divina, a way of studying and reflecting on Holy Scripture.

The scripture passage though is a great reminder for us to think about what we sow; in our daily lives, and within our homes.

Do we sow compassion, charity, and love? Is that the attitude that we have with our friends, our family, our spouse, and our children?

The other question that I think this Gospel reading encourages us to ask, is, are we intentional with how and where we are sowing our seeds of faith? Are we intentional with how we are sharing with our children making sure that they have a STRONG foundation one that will be there with them through out there life.

I am not sure about you,  but, these questions are definitely making me think and they reminding me of the responsibility that I have as a parent to be the Little Mights primary educator.

Blessings,
Joy
