Sabbath Sense Saturday

Welcome to Sabbath Sense Saturday~

All you who are thirsty,
come to the water!
You who have no money,
come, receive grain and eat;
Come, without paying and without cost,
drink wine and milk!

The above passage comes from the 1st Reading for this weekend, Isaiah, 55:1-3! I don't remember hearing this reading before but, I think it is a beautiful reading that is a great reminder of how Jesus is always here to take care of us, that we do not need to worry, for He will give us food to eat and water to drink when we are thirsty.

Likewise this passage also reminds me of the other more popular bible passage from the Gospel of Matthew that speaks of how Jesus clothes the lillies of the valley and how we are more important than they.

The Psalm for this weekend will say the same thing reminding us of how we need now worry about our basic needs, for the Lord with do that for us. For,"The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs"  Truly indeed, what a beautiful reminder.

May we each have the courage and strength to put our TRUST in the Lord, relying on His love and compassion for us.

Blessings,
Joy
